Monitor daily work activities for production and schedule tracking.
Create and manage pertinent construction documentation such as
submittals, RFI’s, change orders, notifications and correspondence.
Strong written and verbal skills pertinent in developing and maintaining
client, owner, subcontractor and vendor relationships.
Obtain, evaluate, submit and track all submittals to owners / customers.
Prepare monthly pay requests for Project Manager approval.
Obtain material quotes from suppliers and submit purchase orders for
approval.
Accurately track, maintain, report counts of materials used, and on-hand
required.
Prepare, track project RFI’s and submittals.
Create and file documentation (e.g., correspondence, reports) in Primavera
and expedition on a daily basis to follow-up on and / or summarize project
issues, agreements, communications with owners and subcontractors, etc.
Review, understand plans, and drawings for heavy civil projects.
Assist in maintaining construction schedules in P6.
Assist and manage jobsite document control.
Assist in project estimation including quantity takeoffs, data entry, receiving
quotes on products / services / sub -contractors and cost analysis.
Effective accurate presentations of budgets / estimates, to management
and preparing budget cost comparisons.
Prepare project estimates, cost summaries and project timelines.
Create quantity material and labor takeoffs.
Develop and acquire sub-contractor estimates, competitive material quotes
and assist in preparation of sub-contractor agreement.
Review Change Order request and assist in preparation and approval of
Change Orders.
Closely coordinate with management, project managers, clients
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, B2W Estimating Software,
Trimble Business Center, and Oracle Primavera Scheduling Software
Education and / or Work Experience Requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
2 years of relevant experience as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer or QC
Tech on heavy civil projects.
Primavera CPM scheduling or similar, B2W Track Software, and CAD
knowledge.
Ability to work with a fast-paced team in an aggressive construction
environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience working on public projects.
Experience supervising operations teams is a plus.
Strong capabilities to multitask, work independently under pressure, and
within tight deadlines.
Background check and drug testing.
Prior heavy civil site project experience such as water control, concrete, and
mass excavation experience are a plus
