B’nai Israel is seeking to employ a Music Director effective July 1, 2025. The new employee will be paid a small stipend between now and June 30, 2025 to work with the previous Director of Sacred Music to support the transition. This position requires approximately 16 hours / month. Salary Range is $5,500 - $6,500 dependent on experience. The responsibilities for this position include :

- Communication with Rabbi, Temple Administrator, Temple Coordinator, and singers for planning purposes
- Work with Rabbi to prepare service lists for the 8 HHD services
- Schedule and direct High Holiday rehearsals for soloists and accompanist
- Rehearse and direct the choir at the High Holiday services (8)
- Prepare music for services (HHD, choir services) - make copies, arrangements
- Rehearse and direct the choir at the other (8-10) Friday night Shabbat services
- Prepare cue sheet for each choir service
- Other duties as requested by the Rabbi or the Temple President
