Bi-lingual Engineering Document Coordinator
Job description
Overview:
The selected candidate will be a key member of the Project Documentation Team, responsible for managing and organizing engineering and construction documents for a high-profile infrastructure rebuild project. This individual will ensure compliance with government regulations, engineering standards, and contractual requirements while maintaining an efficient document control system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the organization, distribution, and tracking of engineering and construction documents.
- Administer document workflows, including revision control, approvals, and archiving for all project-related documentation.
- Maintain document control systems (such as Aconex, Procore, SharePoint, Autodesk BIM 360, or other EDMS) to ensure accuracy, security, and accessibility.
- Conduct quality assurance (QA) checks to ensure documents meet project requirements and compliance standards.
- Prepare transmittals, distribution matrices, and metadata tagging for document tracking and organization.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and regulatory teams to ensure timely submission of required documentation.
- Assist with audit preparation and compliance reporting for regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
- Experience using document management software (such as Aconex, Procore, SharePoint, Autodesk BIM 360, or similar tools).
- Familiarity with federal and state compliance requirements (DOT, FHWA, or other regulatory agencies preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and mitigate documentation risks.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
- Must be able to work on-site in Hanover, MD during normal operating hours, with availability for overtime and weekends if required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications such as Certified Document
Controller (CDC) or Construction Document Technologist (CDT).
- Knowledge of contract administration and procurement documentation in engineering/construction projects.
- Previous experience working on large-scale infrastructure or government-funded projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Project Management (required).
- 3-5 years of document coordination experience in an engineering, construction, or infrastructure environment.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with 3-5 years of document coordination experience in construction or engineering, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
