Janitor

Position Overview

B&T USA is seeking a Building Janitor. The Building Janitor is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and overall maintenance of the B&T facilities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure all areas are cleaned and maintained to high standards.
• Identify areas that need cleaning or repair and addressing them promptly.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, meeting rooms, public spaces, and work areas.
• Empty trash cans and recycling bins.
• Refill supplies in restrooms, break rooms, and kitchen areas.
• Dust furniture and fixtures.
• Clean windows and mirrors.
• Perform minor repairs (e.g., fixing leaky faucets, replacing light bulbs), conduct routine inspections, and report major maintenance issues.
• Maintain HVAC systems by replacing air filters
• Maintain outdoor areas by removing debris and keeping pathways clear and safe.
• Keep track of cleaning supplies and order as needed.
• Follow safety regulations, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals.
• Ensure the facility's security by locking doors after operating hours.
  
  
  

Required Education, Experience And Skills

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous janitorial or custodian experience.
• Valid Florida Driver's License required.
• High attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment like floor polishers, buffers, and vacuum cleaners.
• Ability to handle immediate cleaning and maintenance issues efficiently.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict production deadlines.
• Good communication skills to report issues.
  
  
  

Work Environment:

• Work performed in a combination of machine shop, warehouse and office environments.
• Exposed to machine shop manufacturing elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
• Fast-paced environment
• Must be able to access and navigate B&T’s facilities.
  
  
  

Physical Requirements Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. unassisted and up to 50lbs assisted.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

On-Site - May be required to work weekends and after-hours as needed to meet demands.
