Transportation/Logistics Company is looking for a Commercial Trucking Safety Assistant that will manage the day-to-day administrative activities and Safey duties in support of the company’s needs. Candidates would be responsible for managing a broad range of administrative tasks and would assist with orientation, ELD training, driver monitoring, mock inspections of tractors and trailers and other general safety duties. Candidates must be able to effectively interact and are bilingual with Spanish as their second language, communicate at all levels of the company and with external constituents and preferably be a CDL holder.
Responsibilities:
- A variety of administrative duties such as but not limited to gathering information, filing, various computer work, answering the phone, and various other duties.
- Prioritize; handles matters quickly, proactive, and follows-through on projects.
- Various other office work
- Training/Orientation and yard checks
- Mock Inspections
- ELD Training
Qualifications:
· CDL Holder preferable
· Bilingual with Spanish as their second language.
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Moderate computer skills required in MS office
(Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
· Abilities to work independently with limited supervision
· Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
· Interpersonal and communication skills; able to build positive partnerships, while working collaboratively throughout the organization
· Ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines
Salary : $18 - $22
