Job Title: Enterprise IT Systems Specialist
Department: IT
Reports To: IT Systems Administrator
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Summary:
The Enterprise IT Systems Specialist reports directly to the IT Systems Administrator and is responsible for supporting enterprise IT infrastructure, network operations, and end-user systems while following security best practices.
As the primary IT support specialist, this role will work closely with the IT Systems Administrator to handle all aspects of IT support, systems management, and networking, ensuring smooth daily operations for the company.
This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn and wants hands-on experience with enterprise IT, cloud technologies, and security best practices. If you have a strong work ethic, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to grow, you'll receive direct mentorship and training to develop your skills into Systems Administration, Networking, or Security roles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Provide technical support for IT systems, hardware, software, and network infrastructure, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the company.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Level 1 and 2 IT issues related to Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, mobile devices (iOS/Android), printers, and VoIP systems.
- Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of hardware (laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers) and software (Microsoft 365, Windows OS, etc.).
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and profiles within Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID.
- Support and troubleshoot networking issues, including VPN connectivity, DHCP, DNS, and wired/wireless network configurations.
- Assist in implementing IT security protocols and ensure systems comply with corporate security policies such as MFA, encryption, and device compliance.
- Assist with hardware and software deployment, including onboarding and offboarding processes for new employees.
- Collaborate with the IT Systems Administrator in monitoring and maintaining network infrastructure, systems security, and IT inventory.
- Document IT processes, issues, and solutions to maintain a knowledge base and improve efficiency across the department.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Systems Administrator or management.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Education and Experience:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network support.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals (VLANs, DHCP, DNS).
- Experience in troubleshooting common IT issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
- Familiarity with security best practices, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), device encryption, and endpoint protection.
- Knowledge of remote management tools (e.g., Datto, ScreenConnect) and familiarity with IT ticketing systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to support and collaborate with end users and team members.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.

This position requires work be performed in a climate-controlled office setting. In addition, individual may be occasionally required to visit production areas to gather data, observe operations and interface with operations management. Therefore, must be able to periodically tolerate a cold environment of 32-40 degrees or outdoor conditions such as exposure to sun, wind, soil, rain, various plants, and animal life.
