Summary
The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for preparing the Company’s SEC filings and regulatory reports. In addition, the position will assist in monthly/quarterly close procedures, participate in ad hoc projects and complete financial statement analysis.
Specific Job Functions
- Preparation of the quarterly and annual reports on Form 10-Q/K and manage the internal and external review for these documents.
- Preparation and filing of 8-Ks and other periodic SEC filings.
- Assist in the review of the quarterly earnings release.
- Assist with preparation of regulatory reports.
- Support month-end and year-end closing through the recording of journal entries and preparation/review of general ledger reconciliations.
- Perform financial statement variance and other analysis.
- Participate in ad hoc projects.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance required.
- Four (4) – Seven (7) years of public accounting, or public company experience within an accounting department.
- General understanding of US GAAP.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to execute and follow-through to completion.
- Ability to efficiently and effectively communicate with various departments and positions throughout the Company.
- CPA preferred.
- Seven plus years of experience in a public accounting firm auditing financial institutions or working directly within a financial institution’s financial reporting department preferred.
- Experience with FDICIA/SOX controls preferred.
- Experience with SEC and/or regulatory reporting preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and regulatory reporting rules and regulations preferred.
- Experience with Workiva preferred.
- Experience with XBRL preferred.
- Local or willingness to relocate to the Baton Rouge, LA area preferred.
