Summary
This position is with Waterstone, LSP, LLC, a subsidiary of b1BANK. The SBA Packager plays a crucial role in the loan origination process, ensuring that Small Business Administration (SBA) loan applications are meticulously prepared and organized. This position involves compiling, reviewing, and arranging all relevant documents required for SBA loan approval. The SBA Packager collaborates closely with loan officers, underwriters, and other team members to facilitate the successful packaging and closing of SBA loans.
Specific Job Functions
- Document Compilation: Work with clients to prepare loan applications by gathering necessary paperwork, including financial statements, tax returns, business plans, and other relevant documents.
- Feasibility Assessment: Evaluate the feasibility of granting loans based on the provided documentation and communicate any concerns to management.
- Loan Packaging: Package SBA loan application files, ensuring completeness and accuracy. This includes organizing loan documentation in accordance with SBA guidelines.
- Advance Processing: Process advances and disbursements related to SBA loans.
- Payoff Letters: Prepare payoff letters for borrowers when necessary.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Experience: Prior experience in the Small Business Administration industry or loan packaging is preferred. Experienced in computer skills and Microsoft Suite.
- Attention to Detail: The SBA Loan Packager must meticulously review and organize loan documents to ensure compliance with SBA requirements.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication with clients, loan officers, and other stakeholders is essential. Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients.
- Knowledge of SBA SOP: Familiarity with the SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for loan programs is preferred, not required.
