Specific Job Functions
- Acts as the System Administrator on designated system and maintains interfaces to/from ancillary systems.
- Analyzes and revamps existing processes and procedures to ensure they are processed as efficiently as possible.
- Evaluates current processes and recommends process improvements and efficiencies.
- Collaborates with various departments to ensure that the most efficient process is implemented and maintained, working closely with Product Development, Retail, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and IT.
- Ensures that all new processes, products, and functionality are fully tested and validated prior to implementation into the production environment.
- Ensures that all changes to system processes and procedures are effectively communicated to all internal and external customers in a consistent and timely manner.
- Ensures the highest level of internal customer support is provided to all employees.
- Documents and analyzes all requests from employees to ensure a high level of support and to identify areas of potential future improvements.
- Analyzes data and provides summary reports to assist management in making informed decisions.
- Responsible for maintaining a flexible and expandable program to support bank growth: including sales, service, revenue, and geographic footprint.
- Manages all areas of responsibility, including procedures that support the bank’s infrastructure, current and future, ensuring appropriate user capabilities and efficient processes while controlling risks.
- Responsible for strategic project management and support.
- Provides formalized project management including detailed written project plans, assigned resources, detailed action items, due dates, milestones, and budget for all projects.
- Ensures that all resources are utilized to successfully complete projects in a timely manner.
- Provides detailed documentation on projects and status updates.
- Actively participates in committee meetings ensuring that all projects are documented and fully discussed with status and budgetary updates.
- Prepares and presents recommendation/proposals to Operating Committee and other committees to seek approval for major projects.
- Responsible for ensuring that designated core system functions are compliant with all federal and state regulatory guidance.
- Monitors regulatory requirements to ensure processes and procedures are addressed and properly implemented prior to mandatory implementation dates.
- Maintains department policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Documents related items in a clear and concise manner to address and document the bank’s compliance efforts.
- Manages responsibilities for safety and soundness and compliance regulatory exam efforts.
- Employee will be designated one of the following core system functions: Loans, Deposits, edelivery/imaging, BSA-AML, or Teller.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience in banking core systems.
- A minimum of 3 years of edelivery/imaging, BSA-AML, teller, loans, or deposits core system function experience is required.
- Experience can run concurrently.
- Extensive knowledge of bank policies and procedure and internal processing systems.
- Extensive knowledge of Federal and State banking regulations.
- Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients.
- Must exhibit strong project management skills.
- Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Suite.
- Must be willing to travel on occasions.
