Physician - Acute Care - Locums
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Medicine physician to join our team in supporting the health and well-being of our nation's veterans. As a Physician in Acute Care, you will conduct Compensation and Pension exams, as well as Separation Health Assessments, utilizing your expertise to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments for Compensation and Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments
- Diagnose and manage musculoskeletal health, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
- Document patient information and treatment plans accurately and efficiently
Requirements:
- Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions
- Active and unrestricted full medical license
- Willingness to complete DMA training and become DMA certified
- Current home address listed on CV for presentation purposes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in acute care settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
