B2U's BESS interconnect with the grid, generating revenue through energy and grid services sold into wholesale markets. Operational since 2020, the company's second grid-connected energy storage system has been online since November 2023. A third facility is undergoing conversion from PV to a hybrid BESS setup.
Key Responsibilities
The successful Director of Operations will oversee operations staff and contractors responsible for designing, building, and deploying B2U's BESS. Primary duties include:
- Collaborating with company leadership to develop the operations team
- Contributing to strategic goal-setting alongside company leadership
- Leading project deployments for B2U
- Negotiating agreements with suppliers, engineering firms, contractors, and other third-party vendors
- Maintaining purchasing processes
- Implementing, monitoring, and reporting on safety and quality control measures
Essential Skills and Experience
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Effective leadership, management, and communication abilities
- Proficiency in project management, cost control, schedule development, and risk management
- A results-driven, process-oriented approach
- The capacity to handle multiple tasks within constrained schedules
- Minimum seven years of experience in EPC work for power systems development and engineering
- At least five years of relevant experience leading teams and projects
- Authorized US work eligibility
