Director of Operations

B2U Storage Solutions, Inc. is the leading provider of integrated repurposing services for EV batteries in large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Our patented EPS technology allows us to deploy battery packs without incurring repurposing costs.

Our BESS are interconnected to the grid, selling energy and grid services into wholesale markets. We have been operational since 2020, with our second grid connected energy storage system having been operational since November 2023. A third facility is currently being converted from PV to a hybrid BESS facility.

Job Description and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Director of Operations to join our leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading and managing operations staff and contractors who design, build, and deploy our BESS
• Building out the operations team, in conjunction with company leadership
• Working with company leadership to define strategic goals
• Managing our project deployments
• Leading negotiations with suppliers, engineering firms, contractors, and other third parties
• Developing, implementing, monitoring, and reporting safety and quality control/assurance procedures

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• Strong leadership, management, and communication skills
• Project management, cost control, schedule development, and risk management skills
• A highly motivated, process-oriented self-starter who thrives in an innovative and entrepreneurial environment
• The ability to manage multiple priorities within schedule constraints
• At least seven years of experience with EPC work in power systems development and engineering
• At least five years of relevant experience leading people and projects
• Authorization to work in the US

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field; MBA preferred

Experience: Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a senior leadership role
