The organization's BESS interconnect with the grid, generating revenue through energy and grid services sold into wholesale markets. With operational units dating back to 2020, the company is expanding its presence with a third facility being converted from PV to a hybrid BESS setup.
Key Objectives and Responsibilities
The Director of Operations will be responsible for leading and managing operations staff and contractors who design, build, and deploy B2U's BESS. Key objectives include:
- Building a strong operations team in collaboration with company leadership
- Contributing to strategic goal-setting and decision-making processes
- Overseeing project deployments and ensuring timely completion
- Negotiating contracts and agreements with external partners
- Maintaining purchasing processes and supply chain management
- Developing and implementing safety and quality control procedures
Essential Skills and Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
- Proven leadership, management, and communication skills
- Expertise in project management, cost control, schedule development, and risk management
