Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Armed Security Officer to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining safety and security at designated locations while ensuring compliance with all regulations and protocols.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to identify potential threats or breaches in security.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action to resolve them.
- Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Provide assistance during emergencies, including administering CPR and first aid as necessary.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when required to ensure a coordinated response to incidents.
- Document all activities, incidents, and observations accurately in reports for future reference.
- Participate in ongoing training programs to stay current on security practices and technologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in law enforcement or military service is preferred.
- Strong skills in conflict management and the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems, including CCTV operation and monitoring.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and strategies is advantageous.
- Valid armed security officer certification is required; additional certifications in CPR and First Aid are preferred.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail to identify potential security risks.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure environments.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and collaboration with stakeholders.
