Location: Fredericksburg, Virginia
Overview
BizSolutions 360, Inc. is looking to hire 1 Construction Manager Representatives (CMR) to lead the project. The project is located at Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park and Cemetery (FRSP) in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This project involves pavement preservation to visitor use roads. The role of the CMR is to ensure the construction contractor’s Quality Control Plan is in place and functioning properly to include observation of daily construction activities. The CMR shall provide technical assistance and support to the COR during construction such as: conducting meetings, reviewing submittals, reviewing requests for information, drafting correspondence, preparing cost estimates, reviewing payroll, completing both daily and weekly reports and photographic documentation of work in progress. This role involves on-site oversight, coordination with project stakeholders, and enforcing high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Construction Oversight: Lead on-site construction management, ensuring compliance with engineering codes, permits, and contractual specifications throughout the rehabilitation project.
- Project Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between contractors, project managers, and stakeholders to facilitate project operations and respond to RFIs, submittals, and field observations.
- Schedule and Cost Management: Conduct and review schedule and cost analyses, negotiate changes, and maintain project timelines and budgets.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, particularly the OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety requirement.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed technical reports, project documents, and correspondence, ensuring all records meet project and regulatory standards.
- Software and Tools: Utilize Primavera Project Planner (P3), MS Project, and the Microsoft Office suite to manage schedules, workflows, and project progress tracking.
Qualifications
- Experience: At least 5 years in construction management or engineering, with expertise in construction oversight, engineering standards, and project documentation. Experience with federal government projects is highly desirable.
- Education and/or professional qualifications:
- Completion of a state approved training or certification program concerning erosion prevention and sedimentation control with respect to construction stormwater discharges as regulated by NPDES.
- Professional civil engineer/landscape architecture licensure can substitute for this requirement.
- American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATTSA) issued (or State DOT approved equivalent) Traffic Control Supervisor certification or professional engineer’s license in civil engineering. Construction Management
- Paving and construction practices including sampling and testing requirements as identified in the attached plans and specification.
- OSHA 30-hour Health and Safety training for construction
- Education, experience, and qualifications developing and reviewing cost estimates and schedules including software used.
- Prior experience working with Federal Government Project Managers/CORs on processing change orders, requests for information, submittals, and field observation reports.
- Prior experience with resource protection measures required by government agencies to avoid and minimize construction related adverse impacts to natural and cultural resources.
- Evidence the CMR has a minimum of 5 years’ experience with the three phases of onsite control
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Primavera Project Planner (P3), MS Project, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Relevant Experience: Proven track record in projects related to pavement preservation work including chip seal, asphalt paving, earthwork, storm drainage, and other heavy civil construction.
Paving and construction practices including sampling and testing requirements as identified in the attached plans and specification.
