Construction Manager Representative (CMR)
Location: Dry Tortugas National Park, Monroe County, FL
Job Overview:
BizSolutions 360, Inc. (B360) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager Representative (CMR) to oversee the Loggerhead Key Kitchen House Rehabilitation project located within Dry Tortugas National Park, Florida. This role involves part-time, on-site management to ensure the successful completion of construction activities while maintaining compliance with safety standards, quality control measures, and federal regulations. The CMR will monitor daily site activities, facilitate project meetings, conduct inspections, and ensure all documentation is properly completed.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or similar roles, with a focus on overseeing construction of historic or government projects.
Certifications and Licenses:
- USCG Captain’s License (minimum “6-pack” level) or ability to hire a licensed operator for transport between Garden Key and Loggerhead Key.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification:
- Must have completed the OSHA 30-hour construction safety course.
- Additional Certifications:
Other construction management certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) are a plus.
Technical & Technological Expertise:
- Proficiency in construction management software, including MS Project, Word, Excel, Adobe PDF, and MS Teams for scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply construction contracts, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and safety regulations, including conducting inspections and reviewing mock-ups.
- Experience evaluating cost estimates and project proposals, with an understanding of labor, materials, equipment, overhead, and profit breakdowns.
- Ability to document scope changes due to owner requirements or site conditions and participate in Government-contractor negotiations.
- Experience assessing construction schedules and payment requests, ensuring alignment with project progress and deliverables.

Work Hours:
- Part-time, with approximately 1 non-consecutive day per week on-site at Loggerhead Key and an additional ½ day of office work per week.
Travel Requirements:
Weekly travel from Key West, FL to Loggerhead Key, which may involve ferry or seaplane transport. The CMR will be provided with a utility boat for transportation, requiring a licensed operator.The project is expected to span over 12 weeks, with the possibility of extensions depending on construction progress.
