Overview
BizSolutions 360, Inc. is seeking an experienced Site Inspector to support construction management efforts on a bridge and pavement preservation project along the George Washington Memorial Parkway (GWMP). The Site Inspector will be responsible for on-site inspections, quality assurance monitoring, safety compliance, and documentation to ensure the contractor meets all project requirements.
This role involves observing construction activities, performing field tests, documenting contractor performance, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in asphalt paving, bridge preservation, roadway embankments, storm drainage, and quality control procedures.
Responsibilities
· Perform daily on-site inspections to verify contractor compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
· Monitor and document construction activities, including asphalt paving, pavement marking, bridge maintenance, drainage work, and embankment stabilization.
· Conduct field sampling and testing of materials, including asphalt, concrete, and soil, in accordance with project specifications.
· Prepare daily inspection reports, deficiency tracking logs, and photographic documentation.
· Assist in reviewing contractor submittals, RFIs, and progress payments.
· Identify and report safety hazards, ensuring compliance with OSHA and project-specific safety requirements.
· Work closely with the Construction Management Representative (CMR) and the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) to resolve project issues.
· Participate in weekly progress meetings and provide updates on construction status.
· Utilize cloud-based project management software to log inspection reports and document findings.
Qualifications
· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction inspection, quality control, or civil engineering fieldwork.
· Experience with bridge and pavement preservation, asphalt paving, embankments, culverts, and storm drainage.
· Knowledge of federal construction projects and quality assurance procedures preferred.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and construction management software.
· Must hold an OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification.
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
· Prior experience working with federal agencies (e.g., NPS, NAVFAC, USACE, DOT) is a plus.
· Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.
Work Schedule and Performance Period
· 11 months - Mid-March 2025 to February 2026
