Job Summary
Bob’s Discount Furniture is seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager of Indirect Procurement to join our team. The primary responsibilities of the role include assisting in the oversight and management of the Company’s indirect (ie. non-product) related spend including services, capital investments and hard goods.
This person will work closely alongside business partners, finance and legal departments to pro-actively manage indirect costs with a goal of delivering savings, improvements in quality and/or additional value for the same cost. The role will have one direct report who administers procurement programs.
This is a HYBRID position, and we are open to the right candidate working primarily remote. Must be available to travel into the Manchester, CT office on average one to two days a week.

Responsibilities
Monitor vendor spend corporately and projections of spend. Proactively engage business partners and vendors to mitigate cost increases.
Ability to work cross-functionally with partners in IT, Marketing, Facilities and Corporate Functions
Comfortable with driving a uniform sourcing process without being the subject matter expert.
Formalize RFP processes including scoping, vendor selections, project management, legal reviews, financial impact and award of business.
Actively communicate the progress of RFPs with stakeholders and drive alignment.
Work with FP&A partners to update budget & forecast on a monthly basis of changes in costs.
Establish regular reporting of spend and upcoming contract expirations
Promote and standardize the use of Evisort contract management tool
Review contracts and agreements at a basic level and identify potential risks.
Work with appropriate teams to analyze (and monitor) all category spends to ensure maximum value and spend efficiency.
Lead and support contract negotiations as required to secure mutually beneficial terms and conditions with key vendors and agencies.
Ensure that all sourcing activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations
Pursue cash flow improvements through negotiation of payment terms.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Procurement, Supply Chain or related field
Minimum of 7 years in a role of procurement leadership with a strong understanding of continuous improvement processes and vision of what is possible
Strong negotiator able to understand critical points of concession to drive win-win results
Demonstrated experience delivering value to the business through competitive sourcing
Proven ability to implement comprehensive sourcing/purchasing programs. Proven track record in implementing cost-reduction initiatives
Must have excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication skills, both technical and interpersonal
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in contract law as it pertains to contract negotiations with suppliers/service providers
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to build credibility and trust through subject matter expertise and demonstrated results.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced work environment, while adhering to strict deadlines.
Aptitude to troubleshoot and make timely decisions on a variety of issues, with the goal of maximum favorable outcomes and minimal risk to the business and bottom line.
Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills and the ability to clearly convey relevant information to a broad spectrum of audiences.
Expected Base Pay Not Including Potential Commissions, Incentive, Bonus, etc. Opportunities:
90-140k base salary bonus target
