What you will be doing:
- Maintain a neat and orderly lot oriented toward maximizing efficiency in servicing the company needs.
- Operate Yard Truck to maneuver and park large oversized loads.
- Responsible for accounting for records involving container numbers.
- Must function and interact daily with distribution center personnel and comply with safety requirements.
- Communicate using cellular telephone or 2-way radio with dispatch, operations, and personnel.
- To move trailers in and out of bays, inspect new deliveries and provide support where needed.
- Maintain a safe work environment and practice safe work habits per company policies.
- Wear and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Maintain compliance with ELD, vehicle condition reports, and all other aspects of DOT compliance. Keep updated on current DOT rules and regulations.
Here’s what you will need:
- Valid Class A CDL License preferred but not required.
- A minimum of 1 year Yard Jockey experience is required.
- Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position.
