Description:
Babbitting Service Inc (BSI), located in South Elgin, IL seeks to add a Quality Assurance Coordinator (QAC) to the team. The Quality Assurance Coordinator will coordinate daily inputs and outputs to the Quality Management System (QMS) and provide support to the Quality Manager. Main focus will be to finalize and assure customer orders are completed accurately, and all quality documentation is provided and completed to customer specifications. QAC will work closely with Quality Manager, Shipping Manager, Order Administrators (OAs), Purchasing Manager and purchasing team. QAC will also manage various projects as assigned by Quality Manager and Executive Management.
- Outgoing order review and finalization approval assuring that all orders are complete, and all quality documentation is in place
- Handle or assist with customer returns or complaints as assigned by Quality Manager
- Maintain information regarding supplier quality
- Assist with product non-conformances
- Coordinate quality objective trending and reporting
- Assist in relaying companywide quality assurance information
- Conduct internal quality audits in multiple areas
- Review specifications and procedures for Sales team
- Manufacturing technology or machine shop experience, exposure required
- Knowledge of mills, lathes, turning equipment
- Able to use measuring instruments
- Familiar with MS Office specifically Outlook, Word, Excel
- Able to read blueprints
- Familiar with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality management systems
- Albe to review and understand documented specifications and procedures
