Company: Thermal Engineering Int'l (USA) Location: Joplin MO Job Type: Production Position Summary: Thermal Engineering International (USA) Inc. designs and fabricates high quality Pressure Vessels and Heat Transfer Equipment for the power generation and process industries worldwide. The Production Supervisor will plan, direct, or coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in according with safety, cost, quality, and quality specifications. Essential Responsibilities:
- Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constrains.
- Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
- Assist in the hiring process, train evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances.
- Coordinate and recommend procedures for facility and equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines.
- Assist in the development of manufacturing budgets for supplies, materials, and Human Resources, ensuring that materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Two to four years of Supervisory Experience
- American Welding Society (AWS) preferred
- Certified Welding Inspector(CWI) preferred
- Lean Manufacturing a plus, but not required
- 6 Sigma Certification a plus, but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and respond quickly to problems.
- Must be organized and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites.
