Business Development Director

Position Summary

Join a talented team of engineering professionals at Vogt Power International Inc. Vogt is based in Louisville, KY and specializes in the design, manufacture and supply of equipment and solutions to the power generation industry. We are an industry leader in heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) with both domestic and international customers.

The Business Development Director will build and expand relationships with new and existing clients in the Power Generation, Industrial, and Petrochemical markets. Execute strategic direction and growth initiatives for HRSG markets and engage clients including large engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), traditional electric utilities, independent power producers and major petrochemical companies. Provide support to Account Managers in the sales organization.

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop customer relationships directly and through established representative network to develop a strategy for ongoing and upcoming projects
• Monitor, collect, and evaluate project information and educate clients on our company and products
• Maintain a line of sight for upcoming projects
• assist in the development and implementation for the Strategic Plan
• Provide timely information to Vice President of Sales and President of VPI through daily contact, weekly, and monthly reports
• Provide support and information to Strategic Operations on market trends, forecast, and budgets
• Assist Marketing group in development of literature and promotional information
• Represent the Company at professional and industry meetings/conferences

Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge And Abilities

• Pursuit of Advanced Business Management or Engineering Degree preferred, or practical experience sufficiently applicable to the position function.
• Ideal candidate will possess 15 or more years working experience in a design/build environment with background in areas such as project engineering, proposal engineering, proposal management, product design/engineering, or with constructor interaction on large multi-discipline complex projects.

The base pay range for this Business Development Director role is $154,750 - $215,750 annually.
