As an account manager, you will be responsible for leading the proposal and sales activities of Babcock Power Services product lines within an assigned region.
Essential Responsibilities
Relationship Management
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with assigned clients.
- Understands client goals, challenges, and preferences to provide tailored solutions.
- Acts as the main point of contact for client inquiries, requests, and issues.
- Develops relationships with internal business unit teams in support of integrated project opportunities.
- Develops in-depth knowledge of multiple company products.
- Coordinates with Legal, Supply Management, Engineering, Quality, and Field Service Departments to cover all technical and commercial aspects of proposals.
- Assists in development and implementation of sales strategies and promotional activities.
- Partners with Sales Representatives to ensure Company has an effective customer coverage program.
- Develops indicative pricing and performs early engineering analysis to develop opportunities.
- Leads bid reviews by presenting strategy and commercial details.
- BS in Engineering or related field.
- Excellent customer relationship, written & oral communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and business skills.
- Working knowledge of boilers, boiler auxiliary equipment, and boiler air quality control systems.
- Working knowledge of various codes (ASME, NBIC, B31.1, etc.) and product application preferred.
- Must be physically able to inspect enclosed equipment such as boiler drums, closed spaces, climb steps, and work at heights > 100ft.
- 20% travel to support project requirements
