What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler B position at Babcock & Wilcox?
2nd Shift Assembler “B” position is needed for our manufacturing facility. Primary job function is assembling a variety of complex components and sub assemblies to print.
The following statements describe the daily duties required for this position:
- Works off blueprints to assemble a variety of components and previously sub assembled units, such as IK blowers, IR blowers, carriages, and control panels
- May work with 440 volts when test running electrical operated components
- Performs routine tests and adjustments, and identifies and corrects common causes of improper functioning of components
- Stamps/identifies work, and records production data as directed
- Inspects own work in progress, but work is subject to final inspection by others
- Lubricates assemblies as required
Qualifications
To qualify candidate must have a High School Degree or equivalent. Experience in a manufacturing environment with the ability to read blueprints and use various hand tools, hydraulic presses, over head cranes, and testing equipment.
