Job Summary
The Credit Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the credit and collections process within the organization. This position is responsible for managing credit risk, ensuring timely collection of receivables, and maintaining healthy cash flow. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of revenue cycle management.
Duties
- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to minimize risk and enhance cash flow.
- Conduct thorough credit analysis of potential clients to assess their creditworthiness.
- Oversee account reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Collaborate with the finance team to manage the revenue cycle effectively.
- Utilize accounting software, including PeopleSoft and other financial software, to track accounts receivable and generate reports.
- Negotiate payment terms with clients to facilitate timely collections while maintaining positive relationships.
- Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and internal controls related to credit management.
- Monitor aging accounts and initiate collection efforts as necessary.
- Provide training and support to staff on best practices in credit management.
