Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As a Infant Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children aged 6 weeks to 12 months. Your creativity and enthusiasm will help inspire our students as they embark on their educational journey.
Responsibilities
The daily routine of this position will look like being a part of a team, working with other teachers while caring for children 6 weeks to 12 months, as well as helping to clean all the classrooms at the end of the day and floating to other classrooms as needed to help cover breaks. In partnership with parents, the Lead Teacher observes and assesses children's development, plans children's curriculum based on child development knowledge, designs the learning environment, and implements and supervises developmentally appropriate learning activities. The Lead Teacher must be a self starter.
- Implement daily activities including songs, sensory play, tummy time and play.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Make sure activities are well balanced and includes individual, group, and active play.
- Assisting children with eating solid food and bottles.
- Diaper changing and toilet training (if applicable).
- Maintaining rest times for children
- Observe, evaluate, and document children's progress.
- Work with other staff members and follow program practices.
- Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect and foundations for learning.
Qualifications
- Experience working with young children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or nannying is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- First aid certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children and their families.
- Patience, creativity, and adaptability in addressing the diverse needs of children in the classroom.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.50 per hour
