Babineau Opticians has proudly served the Mechanicsburg and surrounding communities' eyecare needs since 1962. We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist to provide 2-3 days of patient care per week. Duties:
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose eye diseases, prescribing corrective lenses and other treatments as necessary.
- Provide patient education on eye health, vision correction options, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients, documenting examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals as needed for patient referrals.
- Provide compassionate, family-oriented services for patients and their families by providing excellent customer service throughout their visit.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state license to practice optometry.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to eye care.
- Experience in pediatrics or familiarity with pediatric eye care is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
- MUST BE AN IN-NETWORK PROVIDER WITH VISION INSURANCES INCLUDING: AETNA, DAVIS VISION, EYEMED AND NVA (or be willing to obtain credentialing within 90 days of onboarding)
