EDI Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient EDI Specialist to join our team. The EDI Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems and transactions. This role requires collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and vendors to ensure seamless data exchange and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop, configure, and maintain EDI systems, ensuring smooth integration with internal applications and trading partners.
· Monitor EDI transactions, troubleshoot errors, and resolve any data transmission issues in a timely manner.
· Work closely with business and IT teams to analyze EDI requirements and implement necessary solutions.
· Coordinate with external partners to establish and maintain trading relationships.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and company-specific EDI formats.
· Create and maintain documentation related to EDI processes, mappings, and procedures.
· Test and validate EDI transactions to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
· Stay up to date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in EDI systems.
· Provide training and support to internal teams on EDI-related processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
· Proven experience working with EDI systems, formats, and protocols.
· Experience with Lingo/ Truecommerce
· Knowledge of EDI standards and related communication protocols
· Hands-on experience with EDI mapping tools and translators such as Sterling Integrator, Gentran, BizTalk, or similar.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Familiarity with ERP systems and their integration with EDI processes is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in the logistics or manufacturing industries.
· Knowledge of scripting languages to support EDI troubleshooting.
· Previous experience working with APIs and web services for data exchange.
