Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Quality Control Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting products, materials, and processes to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control and Inspection
· Perform visual and manual inspections of products and materials to detect defects or deviations from quality standards.
· Perform routine inspections of raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods.
· Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and equipment to evaluate product quality and verify product dimensions and tolerance.
· Document non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
Testing and Analysis
· Conduct standard tests to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
· Analyze and interpret test results to identify trends and potential issues.
· Follow company procedures, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Data Entry/Documentation and Reporting
· Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of findings.
· Maintain detailed and accurate records of inspections, tests, and audits.
· Prepare quality control reports and communicate findings to relevant teams.
· Perform data entry and administrative functions for all quality control reports.
· Ensure data accuracy and integrity in quality management systems (QMS).
· Assist Quality Control Supervisor on all tasks and duties as assigned.
Computer-Based Quality Systems
· Use software tools for data entry, analysis, and reporting (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, ERP/NetSuite software).
· Support the implementation and maintenance of digital quality systems.
· Troubleshoot minor technical issues related to quality control systems.
Collaboration and Compliance
· Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Must have basic math and computer skills for data entry and documentation.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for documentation and reporting.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to quality control processes.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or quality inspection is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 55 lbs.
- Good vision and hand-eye coordination for detailed inspections.
