Shipping Coordinator

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to manage and oversee all shipping activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate shipments, coordinating with carriers, managing documentation, and optimizing shipping processes to meet company standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Coordinate and schedule shipments with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers.

· Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork.

· Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and address any delays or issues.

· Work closely with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment.

· Maintain records of shipments, costs, and carrier performance for reporting and analysis.

· Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations.

· Negotiate rates and contracts with shipping providers to optimize cost-efficiency.

· Resolve any shipping-related discrepancies, claims, or damages.

· Communicate with customers regarding shipment status, tracking, and any delays.

· Implement and improve shipping policies, procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

· High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.

· Proven experience in shipping, logistics, or a similar role.

· Knowledge of shipping procedures, regulations, and documentation requirements.

· Proficient with carrier management systems and shipping software (NAV, NetSuite)

· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and inventory management systems.

· Experience with international shipping and customs regulations is a plus.
