Food Expeditor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expeditor to join our dynamic kitchen team. The Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared accurately and delivered promptly to guests. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for food service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospitality and culinary settings, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate food orders between the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely delivery.
• Assist cooks in preparing dishes and ensuring that all food safety standards are met.
• Monitor the quality of food presentation and ensure that all dishes meet the restaurant's standards before they are served.
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including bussing tables as needed.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to address any special requests or dietary restrictions from customers.
• Support the culinary team by assisting with inventory management and restocking supplies as necessary.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
• A background in hospitality or culinary arts is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.57 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
