Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and a strong understanding of renovation and remodeling processes. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with hand tools and airless paint spraying equipment. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on residential and commercial projects.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or airless paint spraying equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Perform minor repairs and renovations as needed, including frame carpentry and masonry work.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during painting operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Painter or in a similar role within the construction or renovation industry.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials.
- Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating paint quantities.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
- Experience with frame carpentry is a plus.
- Familiarity with airless paint spraying equipment is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
