WHAT DOES A QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN?
A Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for supporting the plant from an analytical and packaging Quality perspective through the analysis of the liquid and packaging on a daily basis. Instrumentation includes but is not limited to densitometer, gas and liquid chromatography, pH meter, turbidimeter, spectrophotometer, atomic absorption spectrophotometer and refractometer.
About You
You have a BA/BS in a natural science field, Chemistry is a plus with 3-5 years of professional laboratory experience in quality assurance or other similar environment. Experience in both Packaging and Analytical environments is desired. You are self-motivated, dependable, flexible, detail oriented with good personal skills.

Responsibilities
WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART, YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:
- Perform analysis on ingredients, in process liquid, finished product liquid, and finished package
- Comprehend and adhere to all Bacardi procedures and maintain accurate and precise records
- Conduct instrument and method development, write procedures and train personnel on new
- Participate in organoleptic training and be a member of the tasting panel
- Perform fill point checks on the line and make adjustments as required in accordance with TTB
- Assist Quality Assurance Management with projects and special assignments as directed
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY:
- A working understanding of good general laboratory practices and laboratory safety practices
- Actual hands-on operational experience with various above-described lab equipment a plus
- Must possess and apply strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to handle stressful, fast-paced, rapidly changing environments
- Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong commitment to team concept
- Self-motivated, proactive, and dependable
- Strong problem solving and trouble-shooting skills
