Manufactured / Mobile Home Construction Permitting Administrator

Responsibilities :

  • The Permitting Administrator's responsibilities include applying for permits with the respective municipalities, and compiling, updating, and maintaining reports and files.
  • Obtain documents from the Divisional Manager to facilitate the permit application process.
  • Obtain all required permit approvals and liaise between the company and each municipality.
  • Prepare and submit applications to relevant issuing agencies / boards.
  • Ensure proper payments are made and documented to the issuing authority.
  • Create check requests for permit / utility fees when permits are ready for pick up.
  • Coordinate paperwork and applications with outside consultants as necessary.
  • Submit permit paperwork as required to ensure timely processing of permitting requests.
  • Work closely with the municipalities on the status of permits and ensure they are processed on time.
  • Enter permitting data.
  • Prepare start packages for Construction Project Managers
  • Maintain all company files relating to site plan applications, approvals, licenses, and permits.
  • Coordinate the pickup of approved permits from the issuing agency.
  • Develop & document a permit workflow process for each county / municipality / agency we work with that outlines a step-by-step process to obtain permits.

Job Qualifications :

  • Knowledge of basic land development and construction permit requirements
  • Knowledge of construction permit processing and procedures.
  • High School Diploma required; college degree preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience in the construction industry is a must with at least 1-2 years of experience in the obtainment of residential construction permitting.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office suite, specifically MS Excel, MS Word, & Outlook.
  • Ability to speak and be fluent in Spanish is not required but would be beneficial in your job role.

This is a full time salaried, overtime exempt position. This position is onsite at our corporate office in Tampa, Fl near Raymond James Stadium / Midtown. The candidate will be expected to work Monday through Friday 9am-5pm.
