Music Teacher

Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join our team at Bach to Rock. In this key role, you will deliver high-quality music education, inspire students of all ages and skill levels, and foster a dynamic learning environment. Your role will focus on teaching individual and group lessons, encouraging student participation in bands and group programs, and supporting students in their musical journey.

Responsibilities

• Teach Music Lessons: Provide high-quality individual and group lessons, following our structured curriculum.
• Encourage Group Participation: Actively promote and motivate students to join Bach to Rock bands and groups, emphasizing the benefits of collaborative music-making and performance.
• Assess Student Progress: Regularly evaluate student progress, offer constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to support each student's development.
• Foster a Positive Learning Environment: Create a supportive and engaging atmosphere that enhances student enthusiasm for learning and performing music.
• Prepare Students for Performances: Guide and support students in preparing for recitals, concerts, and other performance opportunities.
• Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with other music teachers and staff to maintain a cohesive and collaborative teaching environment.
• Communicate with Parents: Maintain open and effective communication with parents or guardians regarding student progress, goals, and any concerns.
• Participate in School Events: Engage in school events, workshops, and community outreach activities to promote the school and its programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Proven experience teaching music with a track record of successfully instructing students of various ages and skill levels.
• Proficiency in one or more musical instruments; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Teaching certifications or additional music-related qualifications are a plus.
• Genuine enthusiasm for music and a commitment to helping students achieve their musical aspirations.
