Service Express Technician Description
The Express Technician role is the first critical activity in our Service Department, creating an impression of efficiency and credibility with our customers. The Express Technician performs maintenance services, such as oil changes and tire rotations, and recommends additional services based on vehicle condition, operation and mileage, all while achieving maximum productivity with minimum wasted effort or expense.
Qualifications
The Service Express Technician works in tandem and rotation with other staff to efficiently and quickly provide basic maintenance to and service repairs to the dealership's customers.
The Express Technician will be able to diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical problems, utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment. They will also execute tire installations, balancing, and alignments with precision and adherence to safety standards.
The ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with service advisors to make repair recommendations as well as having proficient knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, brakes and electrical components will be a plus.
Our company uses many different technologies and our Express Technicians are expected to be comfortable with and make use of all of the programs that we use including CDK, Drive Centric, Rapid Recon, Microsoft 365 (IE: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) and Teams as well as various Manufacturer websites.
This position requires a valid driver license and acceptable records check.
