Job Responsibilities:
- Develop assortment plans by channel to include product selection from internal production and outside vendors that align with the corporate strategy and financial goals of the nursery departments.
- Execute assortment plans by channel to include: product purchasing, product quantity, stock levels, replenishment, special orders, retail pricing, delivery timetables and warehouse considerations.
- Sku creation and sku management for all nursery departments
- Lead the development of assortment plans - product selection, order, and pricing.
- Ensure inventory best practices and accurate inventory reporting for nursery products
- Provide creative innovation on new products, product uses and promotions to ensure great style and trend in annual and perennial products
- Work closely with vendors and transportation companies
- Bachelor’s degree in horticulture, business, marketing or related field
- 2-5 years of procurement, store operations or retail distribution experience
- 2 years supervisory experience
- Demonstrated development and execution of purchasing plans & assortment plans based upon financials, historical information, consumer trends, and marketing instincts within a budget
- Knowledge of landscape green and nursery products
- Highly proficient in computer skills
- MNLA certification
- Monday – Friday – 45 Hours per week, more hours needed during peak weeks
- May require occasional overnight travel during the year
