About You
We’re seeking a result-focused, innovative, customer-centric and well-qualified individual to join our talented team as a Technical Service Engineer. Based out of our New York location, you will provide custom solution to technical issues by working closely with customers, sales, production and quality to develop, refine and troubleshoot new projects and exisiting applications. Also, by providing specs, technical feedback and answers regarding operations and maintenance.
You will:
- Optimize application recommendations and root cause conclusions by providing diligent, timely support to the SBDM, sales partners, and customers by telephone, chat, video presentations, online presentations or onsite customer training/programming.
- Contribute to process development and optimization by developing and validating conformal coating processes for new and existing products, optimizing spray and selective coating/dispensing applications to ensure efficiency and quality, establishing standard work instructions, process parameters, and best practices, and implementing process improvements to enhance yield, throughput, and repeatability.
- Complete technical projects within established timelines by validating project objectives, developing test matrices, data collection, analysis techniques, other testing plans, and reporting formats.
- Determine the viability of project requests by assessing efficiencies, costs, and resource demand – and by proposing alternative approaches and options when necessary.
- Efficiently present information and recommendations by reviewing technical specifications and engineered drawings then interpreting and relaying data to customers and principals in concise, clear, and easy-to-understand formats.
- Enhance ECT sales by assisting the SBDM and sales partners in the design, manufacture, and development of new or revised product offerings. Also, by adapting current and new products to meet customer needs.
- Build product awareness and product use capabilities by providing in-house technical guidance to production and sales personnel, channel partners, internal stakeholders, and external customers.
- Provide outstanding customer advocacy and technical support by developing and maintaining technical knowledge in equipment operation, new test methods test methodologies, implement process improvements to enhance yield, throughput, and repeatability and delivering extraordinary standards of customer service.
You should have:
- B.Sc/BA degree in engineering required - preferably in chemistry, science or electronics
- 2 years of experience in specialty materials or specialty chemicals
- 2 years’ experience in customer support
- Knowledge of NASA-STD-8739.1 and IPC-CC-830 and experience with root cause analysis techniques is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft office and Windows-based software essential
- Precise, detail-oriented, organized with thirst for understanding and trying new things
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a team-centered environment
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills
- High level of attention to detail
Please note: This position requires compliance with U.S. export control laws, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As a result, candidates must be a 'U.S. person' as defined by federal regulations (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other protected status). Proof of U.S. person status will be required prior to employment.
Salary Range:
$70,000 - $80,000 per year.

Our company takes the compensation of its employees very seriously and considers several factors when determining the total compensation package including but not limited to location, market range, skills, knowledge, experience, and abilities. The base salary range represents the low and high end of our company's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range.
