Bachus & Schanker, LLC has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Workers Compensation Paralegal to join its team in our Englewood office. This is an in-office position, Monday through Friday. The firm's goal is to level the playing field between accident victims and large insurance companies. We are looking for a paralegal to join our dynamic team who shares our commitment to provide clients and team members with superior support!

Responsibilities:
- Extensive contact with clients, insurance companies, and other law firms
- Familiarity with medical records
- Assist with cases from sign up through resolution
- Gather and analyze information relevant to the case
- Extensive review and knowledge of each case
- Maintain contact with clients on a consistent basis
- Docketing and Calendaring
- Organization and maintenance of case files
- Have strong work ethic and be able to work well in a fast pace environment
- Have great people skills as the position requires a great deal of client contact
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Exceptional communication and written skills
Requirements:
- Must have ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to operate Microsoft Office software programs
- Continuously assist attorney in keeping cases well-organized and current
- Frequent communication with clients to provide case information and updates
- Ability to multi-task required while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and meet deadlines
- Time management, professional communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team-based structure
- Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and legal software
Preferences:
- 1 year of experience in a law firm setting preferred.
- Experience with Workers Compensation cases
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Qualifications
Benefits:
- Compensation $55,000 to $60,000, depending on experience
