This position will float between kitchen and server.
Training for breakfast/lunch and server will be necessity.
A server at Back Alley is responsible for taking orders, deliver food and drinks, and cleaning tables. They are also responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring that guests have a positive dining experience. A server is like being a “Spokesperson” for the business. In the kitchen we expect positive atmosphere, with working as a team to be an important factor. We pride ourselves on dressing made from scratch, delicious high quality foods and reasonable prices. Working fast and efficient is important in this fast paced bakery.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation and assembly
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food, and addressing customer inquiries or concerns
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
Skills:
- Previous experience in a restaurant, food service, or hospitality setting is preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and culinary principles
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
