About the Role :
The Social Media / Marketing Content Intern will play a key role in supporting the Marketing Team with social media content creation across all platforms. The main responsibilities of this role include crafting engaging content for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, as well as writing copy and assisting with short-form video production. In addition, you will work alongside the team to create and implement compelling social media campaigns and stay up to date on trends to enhance our content strategy. This role requires someone who is knowledgeable about creating social content in-app, that has a passion for connecting with audiences and building an engaging online presence. This position offers valuable experience in content creation and brand development, while contributing to a variety of exciting marketing projects at Backroads.
What You'll be Doing :
- You will have the opportunity to aid in crafting fresh and innovative content primarily for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
- You'll work to assemble, publish, and write copy for various social media posts.
- You'll help to create and edit short-form video content.
- You'll continue to remain up to date on social media best practices and trends, and work with our team to develop and incorporate ideas into our content.
- You'll boost interaction with our social platforms by encouraging and engaging in conversation with our followers and community.
- You'll work closely with our team to source and review visual content.

Salary Ranges : 22.00 - $22.00
At Backroads, we uphold a commitment to transparency and fairness within our hiring process, particularly regarding compensation. The salary range posted for each role applies to both employment offers and employees actively working in the role.
New hires are typically offered a starting salary between the minimum and midpoint of the range to ensure there is continued opportunity for salary progression during your employment at Backroads, reflecting our commitment to rewarding ongoing dedication, high performance, and significant contributions to our team. This approach not only supports our budgeting strategy but also our intention to foster an environment that encourages long-term growth and strong relationships between Backroads and our valued employees.
Our office roles are onsite in our Berkeley headquarters, unless specifically noted as 'available for remote'. We do allow one work-from-home day a week, as well as one work-from-anywhere week per year. This pay range is intended for in-person work in our Berkeley, CA headquarters. Pay ranges for remote-eligible roles will be subject to adjustment based on the geolocation of the employee.
