Director Position Summary:
The director of children's services will oversee the effective delivery of Section 28 services, ensuring all client needs are met within their homes. This role combines both program management and direct supervision of Behavioral Health Professionals (BHPs), ensuring high-quality care for clients and exceptional support for BHPs. The Program Manager will also be responsible for training and guiding BHPs, helping them succeed in delivering services to clients, and creating resources for both staff and clients.
Section 28 Director of children's services reasonability's:
- Service Management: Oversee the daily operations of Section 28 services, ensuring the program runs smoothly and clients' needs are met in their homes.
- BHP Training & Development: Provide exceptional training and guidance to BHPs, ensuring they are prepared to deliver quality care in the client's home.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Organize and attend service-required meetings, coordinating with clients, families, and BHPs to confirm schedules and training plans.
- Client & Family Engagement: Consistently check in with families of your caseload to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback.
- Documentation & Reporting: Complete all required meeting documents, progress notes for BHPs, and keep Microsoft Excel spreadsheets up to date.
- Communication: Maintain consistent communication with all involved parties, including clients, BHPs, and other team members.
- Field Work: Commit to 9 billable hours in the field, traveling to and from clients’ homes.
- Administrative Support: Perform administrative tasks such as data entry and documentation, ensuring all paperwork is up-to-date.
- Supervision & Support: Oversee BHPs in your designated area, supporting them in their roles and ensuring adherence to Back to Basics standards.
- Training New BHPs: Train new BHPs on job requirements, including in-home procedures, policies, and effective client engagement strategies.
- Crisis Management & Fill-in Support: Ensure there are fill-in BHPs available as needed, especially in cases of staff absence or new clients waiting for services.
- Communication & Documentation: Maintain effective communication with BHPs, clients, and supervisors. Ensure all documentation is accurate and timely.
Qualifications:
- Education & Licensing:
- High School diploma or GED required;
- Valid Driver’s License and Car Insurance.
- Ability to transport clients in your vehicle.
- Experience:
- Experience in the healthcare or behavioral health field is preferred.
- At least 1 years of experience in program management or behavioral health supervision.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to create and implement new processes and solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to problem solve effectively.
- Ability to mentor and support team members, particularly BHPs.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week typically M-F Late night due to trainings with Occasional Weekends
- Structured components such as office hours and training shifts, with some flexible scheduling for BHP services for new clients.
