POSITION SUMMARY: Back to Nature is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team out of the Basking Ridge, NJ office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing key accounting functions, including month-end close, reconciliations, revenue recognition, and financial reporting. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

POSITION SUMMARY: Back to Nature is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team out of the Basking Ridge, NJ office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing key accounting functions, including month-end close, reconciliations, revenue recognition, and financial reporting. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform monthly reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
- Complete bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies
- Manage revenue recognition and oversee the invoicing process
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports for management review
- Assist in month-end close by preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts
- Process accounts receivable (cash applications) and monitor outstanding balances
- Oversee accounts payable, including vouchering and check processing
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries
- Support the finance team with miscellaneous accounting tasks as needed
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (required)
- Three to five years of accounting experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (preferred), NetSuite and possibly Aspire (optional)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills to effectively present financial information
