Backbase is seeking a highly strategic and experienced Principal Solutions Engineer to lead our most critical customer engagements. In this role, you'll be the trusted advisor to senior stakeholders at banks and credit unions, guiding them on their digital transformation journey using the Backbase platform. Your deep technical expertise, combined with your understanding of the commercial and business banking world, will empower you to design complex solutions that address both immediate needs and long-term strategic goals. You'll also play a vital role in mentoring and developing other Solutions Engineers, sharing your expertise and fostering their growth.

How about you

• Spearhead the technical solution strategy for our largest, most complex commercial and business banking clients, aligning solutions with their unique business objectives.
• Deliver compelling, executive-level product demonstrations that showcase the transformative power of the Backbase platform.
• Confidently guide C-suite and other senior stakeholders through the technical and business advantages of Backbase, shaping their digital banking strategy.
• Masterfully navigate complex objections, leveraging your creativity, technical acumen, and commercial/business banking insights to resolve concerns and build consensus.
• Mentor and coach Senior and Junior Solutions Engineers, empowering them to excel in solutioning, presentations, and stakeholder management.
• Influence the competitive landscape for major deals, positioning Backbase as the undisputed leader in commercial and business banking solutions.
• Collaborate seamlessly with Sales, Product, and Services teams to ensure flawless customer engagements and solution delivery.
• Own the development of compelling RFPs and proposals that clearly articulate Backbase’s value proposition to senior decision-makers.
• Cultivate deep, long-term relationships with senior customer stakeholders, establishing yourself and Backbase as their trusted partners.
• Provide valuable feedback to the Product team, directly influencing the future direction of our platform based on real-world commercial and business banking needs.
• Champion innovation within the Solutions Engineering team, introducing best practices and methodologies to elevate our performance.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and market dynamics, continuously refining your approach to Solutions Engineering in the commercial and business banking sector.
