Backblaze is looking for a Frontend Engineer Intern to work alongside our frontend and marketing teams to make improvements to our company website. This opportunity will be both educational and practical. The ideal candidate will be personable, detail oriented, curious, a persistent problem solver, and inclined to ask questions when in doubt. What youll do:

Develop web pages using the traditional HTML/CSS/JavaScript web stack, jQuery and React.

Fine tune existing web pages as required by content editors.

Help debug UI/UX issues on existing web pages.

Collaborate with other frontend engineers, product managers, QA, and other stakeholders.

Participate in marketing and design meetings as required.

Requirements:

You have hands-on programming experience developing web pages using HTML/CSS/JavaScript, jQuery and React.

You are a student entering your Junior or Senior year in college.

You are able to fully commit to an 8 or 12-week(40 hours per week) internship.

You must be at least 18 years of age at the start of the internship.

If the company returns to work at the San Mateo office, you must be ok with having dogs in the office.
Desired Qualifications:

Seeking an Associates and/or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, or a related field.

Passion for attractive and functional UI/UX design.

Experience with the HTTP client-server communication model.

Familiarity with Git version control.
