POSITION TITLE : Evening Warehouse Associate ($16.85 / hr) (Mon-Fri 1 : 30pm-10pm) REPORTS TO : Warehouse Evening Manager LOCATION : 295 Technology Drive, Christiansburg, VA, 24073 SCHEDULE : Monday- Friday from 1 : 30pm- 10 : 00pm
PAY : $15.00 / hr $1.85 / hr shift differential $16.85 / hr.
JOB OVERVIEW :
Backcountry has an amazing opportunity for highly motivated individual to join our Warehouse team as a Merchandise Processor! If you are fast on your feet, and love handling all the cool gear we sell from the time it enters our doors to the time it leaves, this job could be for you consider it more like pre shopping and less like work!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Fixing problems that occur to ensure inventory and / or shipping accuracy
- Manage the flow of incoming inventory and investigating problems with workflow
- Managing labor via the computer and / or personally to emphasize priority on orders that have expedited shipping status
- End-of-day closing reports and activities
- Communicate with other departments about building priorities and orders needing extra attention
- Clearing jams on the conveyor system
- Troubleshooting and minor repair on conveyor system
- Resolving inventory issues by adjusting inventory
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES :
- Prefer high school diploma or equivalency
- 3 months experience in fulfillment center
- 3 months experience as a Merchandise Processor
- Verbal and written comprehension of the English language required
- Basic math skills required
- Must be able to apply established procedures and follow oral / written instructions
- Must be able to work independently without direct supervision and organize / prioritize workload to ensure completion of all tasks within established time frames
- Must be able to deal with the pressure of meeting production schedules
- Computer skills, including familiarity with the internet and email required
