What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Accounts Payable Coordinator position at Backroads?
About the Role:
The Seasonal Accounts Payable Coordinator will work closely with other members of the AP team to ensure timely payment to our global hotel partners and vendors during our peak season. The main responsibilities of this role include thoroughly auditing and processing a high volume of invoices, and ensuring clear communication with our vendors in regard to payment status or any potential discrepancies. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is looking to start their career in Finance with a keen eye for detail.
What You'll be Doing:
- You'll work efficiently to audit a high volume of invoices from first class hotels and restaurants around the world.
- You'll communicate with hotels and vendors regarding payment status & potential discrepancies.
- You will process invoices into the accounting system in an accurate and timely manner.
- You'll ensure that electronic backup files are compiled and organized for payment review and approval.
What You'll Need to be Successful:
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Fast learner, and strong ability to learn new systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively engage with team members and vendors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

- This is a seasonal position starting on 5/6/25 and ending on 11/6/25
- On-site, Berkeley, CA
- 4 days in-office

Salary Ranges:
$26.93 - $33.66At Backroads, we uphold a commitment to transparency and fairness within our hiring process, particularly regarding compensation. The salary range posted for each role applies to both employment offers and employees actively working in the role.
New hires are typically offered a starting salary between the minimum and midpoint of the range to ensure there is continued opportunity for salary progression during your employment at Backroads, reflecting our commitment to rewarding ongoing dedication, high performance, and significant contributions to our team. This approach not only supports our budgeting strategy but also our intention to foster an environment that encourages long-term growth and strong relationships between Backroads and our valued employees.
Our office roles are onsite in our Berkeley headquarters, unless specifically noted as 'available for remote'. We do allow one work-from-home day a week, as well as one work-from-anywhere week per year. This pay range is intended for in-person work in our Berkeley, CA headquarters. Pay ranges for remote-eligible roles will be subject to adjustment based on the geolocation of the employee.
Salary : $27 - $34
