Backstage Health is seeking a Credentialed School Nurse to provide health services at a 6th Grade Outdoor School Camp in Descanso, CA, San Diego County. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students in an outdoor learning environment while enjoying flexible scheduling and competitive compensation.
Position Details:
- Location: Descanso, CA (San Diego County)
- Contract Duration: 8 weeks
- Shifts: Choose between:
- 4 (10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday)
- 5 (8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday)
- Option to Stay Overnight: Cabin and meals provided for those staying on-site
- Employment Type: 1099 Contractor
- Direct Deposit Available
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical nursing care for students with specialized health care needs.
- Perform skilled nursing procedures, including catheterization, tube feedings, suctioning, range of motion exercises, and other specialized tasks.
- Ensure compliance with physician-approved written procedures.
- Work collaboratively with school staff and nursing personnel to provide seamless healthcare support.
- Communicate with parents and physicians as needed, staying updated on student health status.
- Maintain detailed procedure logs and documentation of services provided.
Qualifications:
- Current California RN License
- School Nurse Services Credential (Preliminary or Clear)
- Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
