Job Outline
The Production Specialist is a client-facing position responsible for setting up and operating a variety of high-end audio-visual equipment for live/virtual/hybrid client meetings and events hosted at various venues.
Main Duties:
- Completion and adherence to the systems in place for the execution of assigned projects.
- Where necessary or beneficial Backstage Productions will arrange suitable training.
- Ensure all functions are set and run smoothly, from basic to full-scale productions.
- Operate all types of audio, visual, lighting and rigging equipment, for both live and virtual events.
- Trouble-shoot any equipment or systems issues with satisfactory resolution.
- Set-up and tear down production equipment for events.
Provide excellent customer service and promptly handle any equipment or schedule changes/requests. Ensure equipment is functional, safely and professionally presented, and that the client is familiar or comfortable with the operation of any equipment they are utilizing.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of tech areas.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned to ensure success of Backstage Productions events.
Professional Skills:
- Must have a solid working knowledge of all types of AVL equipment & systems, including operation, set- up, troubleshooting, and explanation of equipment.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, as well as independently.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external clients.
- Must maintain an active line of communication while on assigned events, i.e. cell phone
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Must have excellent customer service skills, politely and promptly responding to client needs.
- Ability to handle stressful situations in a professional and positive manner.
- Must possess a high level of attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and ability to multitaskand prioritize work responsibilities.

- Physical demands include frequent bending, pushing/pulling gear, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Preferred 3 years of production experience (AVL, Theatre, Live Events).

Pay: $14.00 - $35.00 per hour
