Inside Sales and Consumer Engagement Manager


  • General Description – Purpose of Role           
  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Inside Sales and Consumer Engagement Manager to lead our inside sales team and enhance consumer experience. The ideal candidate will drive outbound communications, enhance consumer expectations, and ensure seamless interdepartmental collaboration. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in sales, customer service, and digital engagement strategies to help grow our brand and revenue.


  • Essential Functions


  • Team Leadership:
  • Manage and inspire an inside sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Develop training programs to improve team performance and communication skills.
  • Monitor and report on team performance metrics, setting goals to achieve and exceed sales targets.


  • Outbound Communication:
  • Create and execute outbound sales strategies to drive new revenue and nurture existing consumer relationships.
  • Develop outbound consumer relationship strategies to set expectations with consumers during post purchase experience.
  • Implement CRM tools to track, analyze, and optimize customer interactions and feedback.

  • Consumer Expectations:
  • Collaborate with the Consumer Service team to understand and respond to consumer needs and inquiries.
  • Proactively address consumer pain points, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
  • Represent the voice of the consumer in internal meetings, providing insights to guide product development and marketing strategies.


  • Interdepartmental Coordination:
  • Act as a liaison between Product Development, Marketing, Logistics, and Consumer Service teams to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
  • Provide feedback on product performance and consumer trends to the Product Development team.
  • Facilitate regular cross-departmental meetings to share insights and drive projects forward


  • Digital Engagement:
  • Work with marketing and product teams to develop and refine digital engagement strategies for reviews, Q&A, and social media.
  • Leverage digital tools to analyze consumer behavior, drive engagement, and create tailored sales approaches.
  • Stay updated on emerging digital trends to improve outreach and engagement.


  • Other Responsibilities as Requested
  • Work closely with Call Center Manager to ensure that all channels of customer contact are sufficiently staffed and consumer services department is meeting goals


  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered.
  • 5 years of experience in Inside Sales management is required.
  • Relevant experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing and motivating teams to meet sales goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using CRM platforms and digital engagement tools.
  • Passion for outdoor products and the consumer base they serve.

  • Excellent knowledge of management methods and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of sales software, customer service software, databases and tools.
  • Awareness of the industry’s latest technology trends and applications.
